Liverpool F.C. were 5 times European Cup Winners from the year 1976-77, 1977-78, 1980-81,1983-84, 2004-05.
Liverpool F.C. were 7 times FA Cup Winners from 1964-65, 1973-74, 1985-86, 1988-89, 1991-92, 2000-01, 2005-06.
Liverpool F.C. were League Cup Winners for 8 Years from 1980-84, 2000-03, 2011-12.

Hillsborough disaster
The Hillsborough disaster occurred on 15 April 1989 at Hillsborough Stadium in Sheffield, England; during the FA Cup semi-final match between Liverpool F.C. and Nottingham Forest F.C. A human crash resulted in the death of 96 people and injuring 766 others.
History of Liverpool
Liverpool F.C. was founded after an internal dispute within Everton F.C. committee and brewer John Houlding, whom is the landholder of the Anfield ground and president of Everton F.C.
The Football Council decide on 4February 1892 that it would not approve the creation of Everton football club on the basis that it resembles an existing member. In an attempt to hijack Everton F.C., John Houlding established Liverpool F.C. on 15 March 1892. John Houlding desire to take over Everton's fixtures and position in the Football League. Three months after Liverpool F.C. was established in June 1892, they were officially recognised by the Football Council.
The root of the dispute was fundamental differences of ownership. Houlding wanted ownership to be within a small group of people, giving annual returns. The Everton Committee however, wanted a large spread of ownership via shares, as it was viewed as a community club. On moving to Goodison Park Everton issued 5,000 shares for fans. The directors owned 6% of the club. Liverpool F.C. stayed largely owned by a few people in the corporate model with the directors owning 52% of the club, and has remained so throughout this history, Everton played its last home match at Anfield on 18 April 1892 vs, Bolton Wanderers F.C.
